Emergent Naturalness
On the 19th floor, adjacent to Lixiang Park in Shenzhen, a private bank is conceived within a high-rise office building under the theme of “humble ecology.” From the perspective and sensibility of contemporary women, it reinterprets the financial space—neither through opulent materials nor刻意 exaggerated forms to appeal to high-net-worth clients. Drawing colors from the earth and shaping forms through architectural的手法, the design employs the most modest natural materials. Red bricks embedded with straw are used to enclose a space for rest, sharing, and business conversations—a “box” wrapped in brick that evokes a sense of unadorned tranquility, while serving as a window to the park and the natural surroundings beyond. With restraint and balance, the space offers a quiet manifesto on independence for the modern woman.
